Motor Risk Automation Manager

What are you going to do?

• Map existing underwriting principles in motor and other product lines by transforming human experience into system-based decision making.
• Make analysis and find underwriting optimisation combinations by cross-comparing underwriting approach in all If insurance product lines.
• Work towards risk underwriting automation agenda in motor and other product lines in collaboration with IT development squads – looking into portfolios to build rules and algorithms enabling better risk assessment.
• Conduct daily risk assessments of If customers in MOD and MTPL products to ensure compliance with risk management guidelines.
• Assist Sales colleagues in preparing insurance offers, including determining insurance premiums based on risk analysis and product hazards. Also, engage in major client tenders, provide risk management recommendations.
• Analyse risk and claims data to identify trends, proposing new risk evaluation principles to standardize and automate the underwriting process.
• Participate in local and Baltic projects aimed at improving processes within the Product and Underwriting Unit.

What do we expect from you?

• Higher education, preferably in Mathematics, Economics, or IT.
• Work experience in risk assessment, analytics, data science or related fields.
• Ability to analyse data and make conclusions out of that leading to more efficient business operations.
• Strong analytical approach for systematic risk management principles mapping across various insurance products.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
• Diligence and skill in analysing data and recognizing trends.
• Fluent communication in both Latvian and English languages.
